Living in Cornwall, we're accustomed to delightful summers. However, when the weather isn't quite as good, we like to seek out some winter sunshine.
With Lanzarote in mind, Sarah provided a variety of hotel ideas. Since we enjoy dining out and exploring, we chose the adult-only, La Cala Suites. Nestled conveniently close to Rubicon Marina and Playa Blanca, it was the perfect choice for us.
The hotel was superb, and the staff were exceptional, going above and beyond to accommodate our every need, such as serving wine with ice on the side and addressing us by name.
Our first-floor room had a spacious balcony, perfect for unwinding with a sundowner.
Breakfast was a highlight; even during our two-week stay, we looked forward to it each day, thanks to the ever-changing options and ample variety.
We were blessed with delightful weather throughout our stay, with temperatures hovering in the mid-20s every day. As we were so content by the pool, we didn't venture out as much as we intended. Nonetheless, we're eagerly anticipating our return to explore more of the island.
