I found Sarah's details on a local Facebook page when I was thinking about taking my grandson to Lapland.
During our first conversation, I mentioned a trip I had booked to Peru with another travel agent and was concerned whether it would happen due to unrest in the country at that time.
Sarah gave me good advice and when the holiday was inevitably cancelled, I decided to look at going to Japan with her instead.
I'm used to travelling on my own but wanted to see as much as possible, so Sarah recommended a brilliant Discover Japan small group tour with G Adventures. She organised my flights, accommodation and place on the tour.
My fellow travellers were from Belgium, Australia, Canada and the USA, as well as the UK, so it was an interesting group to share experiences with.
Japan exceeded all my expectations with Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima being personal highlights. As a vegetarian, I struggled a little at times, but having a local leader helped with the language and enabled me to try significantly more cuisine than if I had been travelling alone.
Every time I visit somewhere new, I have a tattoo to remember it by, so now have a Geisha added to my collection.
My first trip with Sarah definitely won't be my last. Thank you for a great job.
